Another collaboration with Kanekin, this time they want to do a collaboration for a poem titled Void. I know that people usually have their personal opinion or interpretation on a poem. But I still believe that the best way to start is that I must have my own interpretation.
Void
Avoid.
A void.
You avoid
things,
people,
because
you are a void.
You basically afraid
being full.
You don't want anything
or anyone
to fill you full.
Because that's you.
The void.
If they fill you in,
you are
no longer
you are.
I think Void is about someone with a detached personality, who has a fear of experiencing emotions. These people would solve this problem by separating themselves from their emotions.
Thus, the illustrations show two identical girls who actually are one person, facing two opposite directions. One represents the Void, while the other represents the emotion.
I want to make the whole feelings a bit dark, yet beautiful. Thats the reason behind all the colours I chose.
I like the outcomes and also the project itself. So, to whoever wrote this poem, you rock!
